Disaster Draft
Players: 2-4
Objective: Win 3 victory points. You can vary the length of the game by changing the amount of victory points needed.
Setup:
- Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
- Reveal a number of cards from the deck, determined by the number of players times five.
- Every player takes a turn to roll a 20-sided die. The player who rolls the highest number gets to pick a unit first. Then, continue picking units in a clockwise order until all units are chosen, and each player has five units in their hand. Remember, don't let your opponent see your units.
Gameplay:
The game is played in a series of battles. Each battle has the following steps:
- The winner of the last battle (in the first battle the winner of the dice roll) draws a unit from the deck. Continue this process in a clockwise direction until everyone has drawn one unit.
- If a player has fewer than 5 hand units, they must draw units until they have a total of 5 hand units. Also in the same order as before.
- If a player has more than 10 hand units, they must discard units to the graveyard until they have 10 hand units in total. Also in the same order as before.
- Reveal a unit from the top of the deck and place it in the middle. This unit is the reward.
- All players secretly choose 1, 2 or 3 units from their hand to send into battle.
- All players reveal their chosen units simultaneously.
- If a player decides to play just one unit, they should draw two additional unit cards from the deck into their hand. If they choose two units, they should draw only one. However, if they choose three units, they don't draw any additional cards. Begin with the player who won the previous battle and continue in a clockwise direction.
- Each unit's effect will be activated according to the speed indicated at the bottom of each unit card. The higher the number, the faster the unit acts. Use dice to show any changes in a unit's strength by placing it on the unit's base strength. During the battle, any reward effects are typically ignored.
- Once all the effects on the battlefield have been activated, players calculate their Total Strength. This is done by adding up the Strength values of all the units in their respective armies.
- The player whose Total Strength surpasses the sum of the Reward's Strength and that of any individual opponent's, wins the battle. The victor then receives the reward, adding it to their hand. Additionally, the winner takes one unit from the top of the deck, placing it into their victory pile.
- The player with the lowest Total Strength selects a unit from one opponent and sends it to the graveyard. The player whose unit was chosen then takes their turn and selects a unit from one opponent. This process continues until the number of units sent to the graveyard equals the number of players. A player can be chosen multiple times while others might not be chosen at all.
- The remaining cards go back to their owners hands.

End of Game:

Notes:
- “Enemies” include the other players and also the reward.
- When units “die”, they go face down to the top of the graveyard.
- An “army” refers to a player’s units in the battlefield.
- A Total Strength die is put next to your victory pile to indicate it for every round.
- The Strength Value of a single unit can't go higher than 20 or lower than 0.
- An “ally” refers to other units in your army excluding itself.
- Some cards are designed to be played alone or in a pair, this gives you access to more units since you draw cards when playing fewer units.
